Japanese sister, Khaula shares her hijab story

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم  A VIEW THROUGH HIJAB By Sister Khaula From Japan 10/25/1993  My Story To Islam. As most of the Japanese, I'd followed no religion before I embraced Islam in France. I was majoring in French Literature at the university. My favorite thinkers were Sartre, Nietchze and Camas, whose thinking is atheistic. At the same time, however, I was very interested in religion, not because of my inner necessity but of my love for the truth. What was waiting for me after death did not interest me at all; how to live was my concern (58). For a long time I had a sort of impression that I was not doing what I should do and I was wasting my time. Whether God existed or not was the same to me; I just wanted to know the truth and choose my way of life-to live with God or without God.   I started to read books on different religions except Islam. I had never thought that Islam was a religion worth studying. It was for me, at that time, a sort of primitive idolatry of...

The Importance of Praying On Time

The Importance of Praying On Time ⏲️ 1 min read Praying on time is one of the most important obligations of a Muslim. Prayer, or salah, is one of the five pillars of Islam, and it is enjoined on the believers at fixed hours throughout the day and night. Allah says in the Qur’an: إِنَّ الصَّلَاةَ كَانَتْ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ كِتَابًا مَوْقُوتًا  “ Indeed, prayer has been decreed upon the believers a decree of specified times.” An-Nisa 103 By praying on time, Muslims show their obedience, devotion and gratitude to Allah, who is the only one worthy of worship. Praying on time also has many benefits for the individual and the community. It helps Muslims to remember Allah and seek His guidance in every situation. It strengthens their faith and moral character, as they avoid sins and follow the teachings of Islam. It also fosters a sense of unity and brotherhood among Muslims, as they pray in congregation and face the same direction of Makkah. Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased w...

THE CONDITIONS FOR THE PRAYER

Image
THE CONDITIONS FOR THE PRAYER By Shaykh-al-Islām Imām Muḥammad Ibn AbdulWahāb  Translated by Isma'īl Alarcon   The conditions for the Prayer are nine: (1) Islaam; (2) Sanity; (3) Reaching the age of  Maturity; (4) Lack of Ritual Impurity (i.e. Ablution); (5) Removal of Filth; (6) Covering the ‘Awrah; (7) The Entrance of the Proper Time; (8) Facing the Qiblah; and (9) The Intention.  The First Condition – Islaam: Its opposite is Kufr (disbelief). The actions of disbeliever are not accepted (by Allaah), regardless of what good deed he may perform. The proof for this is Allaah’s saying:  مَا كَانَ لِلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ أَن يَعۡمُرُواْ مَسَٰجِدَ ٱللَّهِ شَٰهِدِينَ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِهِم بِٱلۡكُفۡرِۚ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ حَبِطَتۡ أَعۡمَٰلُهُمۡ وَفِى ٱلنَّارِ هُمۡ خَٰلِدُونَ  “It is not for the polytheists to maintain the mosques of Allaah while they witness against their own selves of disbelief. The works of such are in vain and in Hell will they abide forever.” [Surah At-Tawbah:...

How To Pray

Image
Description Of The Prophet's ﷺ Prayer by Allamah Al-Imām Al-Albanī رحمه الله  FACING THE KA'BAH (Istiqbaalul-Ka'bah)  (1) If you stand, O Muslim, to pray - then face the direction of the Ka'bah, wherever you are, in obligatory Prayers and optional Prayers. This is one of the pillars of the Prayer, such that the Prayer is not valid without it.  (2) The obligation to face the direction of the Ka'bah is removed from a warrior having to pray the Fear Prayer and during severe fighting. It is also removed from one who is rendered incapable of it, such as one who is (very) ill, or one who is upon a ship, car or airplane and who fears that the Prayer time will reach its end. It is also removed from one who prays optional Prayer or the Witr Prayer upon a riding beast or vehicle. It is, however, preferable for him, if he is able, to turn it towards the Qiblah for the initial  takbeer. After that it does not matter in which direction it turns.  (3) It is obligatory upon ev...
